This New Years Eve I decided to put my own twist on the classic look. Instead of wearing a sequin covered dress, I opted for a more subtle yet still sparkly style.
To make sure I stayed warm in the chilly weather, I wore my new favorite grey sweater coat. I recently picked this up from Brandy Melville and it is now my go-to coat for dressier events. What I love most about this coat is it’s unique style. I love how you can dress it up with a nice outfit or dress it down when you want to look more casual.
I paired this coat with an ivory and gold sparkly dress from Urban Outfitters. What drew me to this dress was that it still has that classic New Years sparkle without being covered in sequins. As much as I love a nice sequin dress, this New Years I wanted to go for a more simple look. For shoes, I decided to wear my favorite pair of nude ankle strap sandals from Steve Madden. The neutral color of these shoes perfectly complimented the gold sparkle in my dress.
To add a pop of color, I finished my look off with my favorite Kate Spade Cedar Street purse. The light pink color was neutral enough that it didn’t stand out too much from my outfit, but simultaneously added a nice bit of color to a monotoned look.
