Girls Day Out

Second semester is finally upon us, so what better way to celebrate than with a girls day out?  To kick off our first weekend back at school, two of my best friends and I decided to go to one of our favorite brunch spots.  The Granola Bar of Westport has quickly become my favorite brunch spot in Fairfield County.  Their menu features numerous healthy dishes that are all so good.  I usually opt for the avocado toast with red pepper flakes and the crunchy elvis parfait.  Since the wait was a little longer than usual, they gave us complimentary sweet potato chips with green goddess dressing.  I’ve never had their chips and dip, so when I tried it for the first time I immediately fell in love with it.  Everything on their menu is absolutely delicious and worth the wait.

Since the weather has been a lot warmer than usual, after brunch we decided to take an impromptu trip to the beach.  One of my favorite things about going to school in Fairfield, CT is that the beach is only two miles from my campus.  Being able to take a break from studying and head over to the beach is like something out of a dream.  With the weather being so beautiful, it didn’t surprise me to see so many other people at the beach.  Everyone was out enjoying the day with their family and even their dogs!  The real challenge of my day was trying walk in the sand with heels on–it’s not as easy as it looks!

I decided to take advantage of the warm weather and wear my new mock neck dress from Loft.  This light grey sweater dress is from their Lou and Grey collection.  What I love about this collection is how incredibly soft the clothing is!  Wearing this dress was like wearing a big fuzzy blanket.  I paired this dress with my favorite Urban Outfitters booties and my everyday necklaces.  Since there was a chilly breeze I decided to bring my sweater coat from Brandy Melville just in case I get cold (yes I know I was wearing grey on grey, don’t judge).

Xoxo,
