SoHo Sundays

SoHo Sundays

Spring semester is finally over!  To celebrate surviving another semester of college, two of my best friends and I hopped on a  train to the city and spent the day eating, shopping, and walking around.  I mean, what’s better than wandering the streets of SoHo with the girls and eating at cute restaurants?  Nothing.

Since it was only the beginning of May when we took this trip, the weather was still a bit chilly.  I opted for a layered outfit so I could keep myself warm but also take off layers as it warmed up throughout the day.  My favorite top for layering under coats is my long sleeve black crew neck shirt from Brandy Melville.  Having simple pieces such as this shirt is essential to every girl’s wardrobe.  Over the shirt, I wore a denim jacket from J. Crew.  I love this one because it has minimal distressing which makes it look more put-together.  The main focus of my outfit was a color block Madewell scarf.  I picked this piece up in the beginning of spring and have been constantly wearing it since.  The muted pink, orange, blue, and green go with virtually everything.  My favorite way to wear this scarf is simply around my neck once so you can see all the colors.  The slight fringing at the ends of the scarf give it a more laid back look which I love.  To keep the rest of my outfit simple I wore a pair of cropped white jeans from American Eagle and my lace up nude flats from DSW.  These jeans kept the outfit on the more casual side with the fringing at the bottom.  The lace up flats were perfect for walking around on the cobble stone streets of SoHo and kept the outfit trendy.  For my purse, I of course brought my staple Madewell tote.  It’s the perfect size for day trips and the tan color perfectly matched the outfit.

That’s all for today’s post!  I have a lot of exciting posts coming soon (some featuring different companies!) so be sure to subscribe to get email notifications on new posts!

Xoxo,

Jessica
