One of the many things I love about summer is the beach. Usually, I spend my summers in Cape May, New Jersey. While I love the Jersey Shore, it’s always nice to venture off to other beautiful beaches. This past weekend I stayed in Kennebunkport Maine at a friend’s beach house. The town looks like it’s straight out of a movie. From the adorable downtown, to the beautiful beaches, to the classic New England architecture, Kennebunkport is nothing short of perfection. Most of these photos were taken my first day in Kennebunkport because I decided to spend the weekend relaxing. However, I thought I’d still share with you guys a few of my favorite shots.
My weekend was spent exploring the town, driving along the coast, and embarrassing myself in games of corn-hole. Of course, I had to stop by the infamous Clam Shack and get a lobster roll (which is less of a roll and more of a sandwich but it’s still super good). I also couldn’t resist getting some of their freshly squeezed lemonade. After lunch and a quick walk through town, we drove around to all of the great photo-ops and shot a few pictures while enjoying the view.
Though the restaurants that we went to aren’t featured, I still thought I’d share with you where we went. For dinner Friday night we went to an amazing restaurant called Earth at Hidden Pond. The restaurant is nestled in a beautiful resort just a short drive to Goose Rocks Beach. Earth’s food is literally farm to table because of their numerous onsite gardens and farm. Be sure to make a reservation in advance because this restaurant is extremely popular and also completely booked. Saturday night we decided to go for a more casual dining scene and eat at Pedro’s. I’m a sucker for a good taco and margarita so this restaurant was perfect. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and the outdoor seating was complete with a large bonfire.
That’s all for today’s post! Be sure to subscribe to my blog with your email to see where my next trip will be!
