One of the biggest trends of the season is berets–and with my love for all things French, I didn’t hesitate a bit to hop onto this bandwagon. I prefer to keep my accessories simple. While I love the look of bold jewelry, shoes, etc. on other people, I’ve never been one for things that stand out too much. I like a more softer look. Berets are a great way to accessorize without making too much of a statement. They’re a more soft-spoken way to add a bit of flare to your outfit. Not even an hour into my day I saw probably a dozen women rocking berets of all different colors!
The beret I’m wearing is from Urban Outfitters. Not going to lie, I picked this up day of because I knew it would would look cute with this outfit haha! Urban, Free People, and Anthropologie have a ton of different styles and colors of berets so I recommend going to one of the three if you want to pick one up for yourself. I wanted my outfit to be a bit more neutral in color so I chose to wear a light pink beret. My sweater dress is my current favorite in my wardrobe. It’s very thick which helps keep me warm and the fanned out sleeves add a cute flare to the outfit. I also love how the buttons go up the sleeves instead of down the back. I picked this up from Madewell a few weeks ago and I have been wearing it nonstop ever since! I also love how it’s not just grey, if you look closely you can see it has small speckles of dark grey, black, and brown! Since it was still a bit chilly out I decided to keep my legs warm by wearing my Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots. These are a staple in my wardrobe. I waited a little while to hop on the Stuart Weitzman bandwagon, but now I totally get why people love these shoes so much. They’re the only over-the-knee boots that actually stay up on my legs and the suede is such nice quality! I finished my outfit off with my Daniel Wellington watch and my favorite Madewell tote, two of my go-to accessories.
That’s all for today’s post! Now that I’m back at school I’m going to be doing more college-related posts, including a dorm tour so be sure to check back in for that! Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog for email updates or follow me @JessMiele on instagram to keep up with me!
