Lately there’s been a well needed break in the cold winter weather, so I have of course taken full advantage of these warmer days and have broken out some of my new spring pieces and spent my afternoons relaxing on the beach here if Fairfield. Hands down my favorite spring shoe purchase is the Royale flat from Free People. If booties and pointed-toe flats had a love child, it would be these shoes. They’re surprisingly so comfortable and the leather is really soft. I’ve tried them on with dresses, jeans, skirts, and leggings and they literally pair with everything.
To transition into my spring wardrobe, I wore the flats with jeans and a sweater. When I was scrolling through Pinterest one day I saw a post where the girl was wearing these shoes with black ripped jeans, so of course I had to recreate the look. I wore my black BDG jeans with rips at the knees and cuffed the bottoms just slightly so they would be a little cropped. I just purchased this white v-neck sweater from Free People the other day and it is literally one of the softest sweaters I have ever bought in my entire life. It’s very light and sheer which makes it perfect for warmer days when you don’t feel like wearing short sleeves. One of my favorite trends is having a lace bralette peak out from under a sweater, so I wore my white Free People halter bralette (I’ve been going through a bit of a Free People obsession lately). I love how neutral and laid back this look is–it’s a great winter to spring transition.
